My youngest sons best friend, & memeber of the family. Felt like another child to me. Learned how to unlock the gate & escaped. He was hit by a car & killed.
He officially was my sons dog. He is out of state at college. How do I tell him this horrible news.
I’m so broken hearted.
I have lost loved ones. Grandparents, etc.
I don’t feel like my heart has ever been as broken as it is now tho. I loved that dog!! I believe even more then that, my heart is breaking for my son. His pain he will feel. I can’t handle it!!!

Oh, my! I am so sorry that you have to go through this heart ache. It hurts to the bottom of your heart, I know. To lose one so tragically is hard because there was no chance to say goodbye. Rest, knowing that he is not suffering and is with the angels who will watch over him. You will find the right words to say to your son and He won't blame you because it was an accident, nothing more. Be kind to yourself.
sending you love and understanding
Love and doggie hugs

I am very saddened to hear about this tragic accident.  What a terrible shock it must have been for you.  I hope you and your son can help to comfort each other.  Sending sympathy and hugs to both of you.
