Hello all, This morning in the back pasture a theft of a bucket containing donkey cakes took place. The theif was piper Sullivan, aka a Morgan filly. She latched onto the bucket containing the cakes and took off across the pasture to the barn. As she nearded the barn, she tossed her head, the bucket with said cakes flew over my head, hit the upper barn window, popped open, disgorging yummy doneky cakes all over the place, , then sailed into the barn window and we had flying glass. Nobody, either animal or human was cut. I slid in the donkey cakes and rescued most of them from the horses, Llamas, Doxies and the miniature donkeys that live across the road. The crimminal filly was placed in a box stall where she spilled her oats out onto the floor and spit into her feed bag. Our Vet said she is spoiled and just likes to play. She also takes all hat and puts them in tree branches. The donkey cakes are not harmful to the other animals and it was a funny sight, especially after I started to slide around in the field. The window is also repaired and piper and her mom Al are in a large loose box stall where they will live in the cold winter months. piper also got measured for her first horse blanket today and got her first set of shoes. She did not like the shoes and was very nippiny and snippy for the first two. Our Vet is a good farrier and settled her down in no time. Have fun reading this post. meri and the Doxies three
