There's a wonderful cat in a shelter in Mountain Grove, MO
that I'm trying to adopt - can anyone help or have ideas
how I could get him here to Connecticut?  Thank you all.

God bless you, Andi, for wanting to help.  I'm no expert on this, but I have helped on a few transports.  I think what you need to do is map out a route from the shelter/foster to wherever you could meet someone.  Then break the routed down into smaller segments that people would be willing to drive (about an hour each).  You'll probably need an overnight, so you need to figure out about where that would be.  Once you've done that, post the info and ask for volunteers for each leg.  That way, people know if they're anywhere along or near the route.  Good luck!
