It is State Fair Week in Great Falls. The Doxie boyz just returned from the Midway where they partook in drinks of lemonade, eating corn on the cob, off the cob for them, blooming onions and Indian tacos. We are showing our Llama mother and twins. Lola took a blue ribbon for the best of female llamas with babies. Her wool is being sold by the bagful for weaving and knitting. Hersheys photo at Flathead Lake took a first in the pet exhibition and several of the boyz together up at Flathead took second and thirds. Our Morgan is showing tomorrow at noon with her baby Piper. Then on Friday, several calves and lambs are showing on the auction block for FH projects next year. It is always hectic during the Fair and the Doxies get utterly spoiled by everyone who is showing animals at the Fair. So we sing meet me in great Falls, Mt, meet at us at the Fair. it is now 77 years old and very much a tradition in Montana. The bridge kids are strooling the Midway with us. Betsy Noodle Woowooed all the way around on the Ferris Wheel and Hershey held her paw. Everybody stopped at the lemonade stand and everybody had an Indian taco and blooming onion. Burps are rampant tonight, Happiness is state fair week. Is it friday night yet? Meri and the greasey Doxie trio

Hi everyone, It was a long and hot day at the fair. The animals are all bedded down and the plants have had a drink. Now it is my turn for fluids and a nice clean bed. The doxies are ready to settle down for the night. Al and Piper did well at the Morgan exhibit. Piper took a Red ribbon in the pony class and Al scored a blue in the mare with foal class. She is now retired from the fair and will leave the ribbon winning to Piper. The Doxies say hi to Ralphie and wonder why we have not had any news. More later. Meri and the Doxie trio

Hi Meri,

I just saw this post.  I sometimes get caught up on the other forum and forget we have this wonderful forum for happy news and events.

The state fair in Montana sounds wonderful.   Our state fair is way up in the big (too big) city of Dallas so we don't get to go.  I am surprised my town of Kerrville doesn't have more dog friendly events as there are dogs GALORE here!   We do have a lot of art and music festivals here.

Yes, I can see Betsy "WooWooWoo-ing" around the ferris wheel with Hershey holding her paw.   That is exactly what she would do!

Big hugs to all,

Melissa
