My 9 1/2 year old Pekingese who is blind got outside and fell into the pool and never got out while I was getting food. I've had him since I was about 6... and I miss him so much :( Somebody accidentally left the door open and that's how he got out. Right before we left I debated whether I should put him away or not, and I ended up telling my uncle to while I was gone, but by the time he went to do it, it was too late. It could have been easily prevented if I just took 2 seconds to put him in his pen. What kills me the most is thinking of him drowning... it just brings me to tears. The thought of him falling in and struggling, not knowing what to do, not being able to see, and calling for help but no one hearing. He died alone and it hurts me so bad. I really miss him. This has by far been the worst day of my life. I miss him so much. I would do anything to bring him back.

I am so sorry that you lost your fur baby in such a tragic accident. Things happen we can't control or understand. Be kind to yourself and don't let the guilt destroy the loving journey you shared with him. Cry as much as you need to and when you feel like it but also remember the good times to. In time your pain will lessen but you'll never forget the love you shared.

I'm really sorry. It was a tragic accident, but you always loved him and he knew that. That's the important thing. I find so much peace when I think about all the times that I said my pet that I loved him, everytime I played with him, he knew how much I cared about him. The love you shared will be forever in your memories.
