Today is 6 months since we had to say goodbye to our beloved 18yr old papillon, Skylar. While I think of the good memories, I miss her and the house is empty without her. I still imagine her in the backyard when I go out there. I can't wear the shirt that I wore when we took her to the vet that day, it has a few strands of fur on it. I wonder if we will be able to hang her Christmas stocking this year.

So sorry for your loss of your precious Skylar. This firsts for 12 months are so hard. Go with what you feel comfortable doing without pressure to do what you did in the past. It’s ok to feel sad... it is all part of the grieving process that is different for everyone.

Be gentle with yourself... the good memories will live on in your heart and bring smiles and less heartache....

Take care
Cindy
