What a tough month this has been. I will always be thankful for this site and the people here. One month ago I was in complete hysterics but I think I found a breath or two in the past 30 days because by some miracle I'm still here!

I was told that when I had a child of my own the way I felt about my pets would change. It never did. They have all been like a child to me.

Thanks for all of the posts to the 'Share Some Good Memories' thread.
I smile and laugh out loud when I read them.

Josie would come in when I read to our son at night. She would lay on my stomach or next to me and listen as I read. I think she liked the stories as much as our son. It's been tough getting through the story times without her. Last night we were reading a story about animals and we decided Josie would have like that one.  It made it a little easier...

All my love to you sweet girl.

Lnette,
How I remember that first month or to put it more accurately don't remember it as I was in such shock that nothing registered with me. I know how it feels like you cannot breathe.... It is so unreal still. I am so sorry for the loss of Josie.

I am sorry that people do not understand that Josie is just as much your child as your son is. All that matters is that is the way you feel about it and the way you will always love Josie. I can imagine that Josie is still listening to the stories and loving that time together.

Continue to hold her close to your heart,
Helen

Lnette- love to you, your family and Josie.
I wish you lots of support and comfort.
I too cannot breathe. And in the middle of the night I find myself hyperventilating.
this is the time when Daisy would be sleeping with me.
It's almost too unbearable.
I hope you continue to get better.
love and light

Polkadots,

From what I've read many of us share that same nighttime anguish. I know that's when it still creeps up on me.

Sometimes I awaken and can swear she is there.
I believe your Daisy is with you in those tough moments too.

Many hugs and prayers.

Lnette,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved kitty, Josie.  What a little blessing she was to you and your family.  I know that overwhelming despair that hits when one has to say farewell to their best friend and companion.  It hurts to breathe, it hurts to wake up, it hurts to do anything.

I am glad you had a special "Josie" moment while reading to your son.  It is almost as if Josie herself was there right beside you.

You and your family are in my prayers.
