For EveryOne when it's hard to explain

Not Flesh of my flesh
Nor Bone of my bone
Still Miraculously
 My Own
Never forget for a single Minute
You didn't grow under my but;

My Sweet Boy Still Smiles

The bridge kids are playing and still loving us too, his smile told me.

Dear Caroline,

Thank you so much for those beautiful words!  How meaningful they are for us...especially on Mothers' Day!  And how beautiful your Sweet Boy 'Dog' is, with that big woderful grin!  He is right there beside you always.

Hugs and Happy Mothers' Day-

That little poem says it all!   Thank you for sharing it with all of us.  It is just perfect for Mother's Day.

Your boy is simply beautiful.   I can see the love in his eyes.

The actual quote is as such:

"Not flesh of my flesh, Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously my own.
Never forget for a single minute,
You didn't grow under my heart - but in it"

Thank you so much! I never really knew the author, and I did leave out a word, my tears were flowing so hard.
I was an adopted child, my Mother always loved that poem and gave it to me as a small child.
I always had a hard time telling or explaining to others my MOM and DAD were just that, I was only 3 months old when adopted, I didn't feel as if I wasn't there own child.

It was exactly how I felt about "DOG" the very day my husband and I adopted him.
 Our human children from our other first marriages are grown, so DOG was our child together. He is so special, he made us a family. It was really the first time I felt like "family" I raised my 2 children on my own from the time they were 1 and 2 years old. I love them dearly, it was just so hard without a husband or partner. I would look at other Moms and Dads wondering what it would feel like.
"DOG" gave me a very special gift, LOVE and of course with my husband he made the feeling of true family.

Thank you, from now on, I'll proudly include the author ;

This poem has been in my heart my entire life, who would have ever known how special it would be to me as it was for my Mom.
