Hello Maedy,

11 years ago on a storm worught day in the Big Sky, Silver and I drove you into town pn your last journey. I bought you your last coke and you refused it. Oh, how sad that made me. When we got to the Vets, I carried you in after you said goodbye to Silver iin the car. Maedy, you were always a fighter. So, when you settled in my arms, I knew I had made the right choice.

You were almost 17 when you joined Schatzie and Sophie Esther at the Bridge. From what I hear, all of you, now joined by Hershey keep your friends up there very busy and entertained.

Maedy, the picture of you at York Beach sits in the bedroom. I know you watch over us, especially your boy Silver. When we scattered your ashes on your beloved Mt Mansfield in Vermont, Grandma Pauline, Silver and I were there to see you run with the wind once again.

Your are forever in my heart and soul and I want to thank you for sending us updates about activites at the Bridge.

Have a wonderful 11 year Bridge Day, take it a little slow with the Coke young lady. We will all see you at the Cafe in a little bit.

Big Hugs,

your forever Mom, Meri, Silver, Mozie and baby Kuggel

Hello Dick, Thank you for your kind words. Maedy is still very much missed. She was one of a kind. Sadly, many of her human friends are now also gone. Silver is the last living link to the Maed, Grandma and the east coast.

How precious your love for Maedy still is.  How precious her love for you will always be.  I know you hope, as I do, that it will not be too long before we see them again.

Dear Meri, what a beautiful tribute to your beloved Maedy.    She was part of a loving nurturing family, and you sent her to the Bridge knowing that she would use these skills to help others who were lonely and needed companionship.   My Nike was one of the lucky ones to befriend her.  " May the Lord grant peace to all who mourn, and comfort all the bereaved among us".   Hugs from Houston, MsSavion

Thanking everyone for the kind words about Maedchen Susan. She was thought of every place I went in Great Falls today. Maedy was born in Colorado, died in Montana and her ashes were scatterd in Vermont. She traveled to all fifty states in her lifetime, 57 countries, 28 islands and traveled by air, car, boat, canoe and even bike.

The boyz are not to far behind in their travels. Kugs will put on many mikes during the summer.

Thanks again to all and may all who mourn find peace in their hearts.

Dear Meriam –

I’ve read many of your posts from your beloved Hershala and his gang. They all truly warm my heart as does this posting about remembering your Maedy.

It’s a true testament of your love to honor your baby with such a wonderful tribute letter. You wrote that you knew you had made the right decision when she settled in your arms. I understand this statement – of course I really wish I didn’t, but I do.

I know now that we each carry our very own profound & intense love . . . through time. It helps sustain us until the day when we will all be gloriously reunited.

Know I’m thinking of you and your Maedchen Susan as you observe her 11th year at the bridge.

To our very special sweet earth angels who have gone on before us to the Rainbow Bridge . . . until we meet again . . . we love and miss you so.

Peace to you.

Rusty’s Mom.
