Hi Hershela,

Mom is allowing me to write to you on your 6th month bridge day. We went to Missoula today and driving over Rogers Oass, Mozie and I were very quiet. Mom was crying. As we got into Lincoln, we asked to stop at the gateway to Race to the Sky. Mom bough us some jerky treats and we got to run around near the arch. All of us were thinking about you.

In Missoula, we took Aunt Joan to lunch at the Creekside and then went to the Mall. Moz and I sat under the tree we used to share, but it was so lonesome without you. After that we drove down Reserve Street and passed by the Detention Center. Nothing was the sane without you.

On the way home we stopped in Lincoln for a hot dog and pop. There were lots of deer and elk on the road. In SSun River there was a Porkypine on the road.

Hershey we miss you so much. Tomorrow we will go see Al and Piper and bring them carrots and apples.

Kuggel is coming home on Monday. He had to have some extra baby teeth pulled.

Hershey have a good day at the bridge tomorrow and know that we miss you every day. We will always and forever love you.

Your earth brothers,

Silver and Mozart and baby Kuggel

Mom loves you and misses you. Find Betsy and go celebrate at the Cafe with special treats.

Loves and kisses,

Dear Meri,

I am crying after reading the letter to Hersh from the boyz.  I just can't help it.  Hershey is such a beautiful boy and I know your heart is hurting so much right now.  I want to reach through the computer and wrap my arms around you, Kugs, Mozie, and Silver and give you all a big hug.  It just hurts so much to lose a little one.

I like to think of Hersh and Betsy at the Bridge, sitting under a nice shady tree with the other furbabies.  There is a cool, bubbling little brook nearby.  Hersh is reading her a story (he can see!!) and she is "WooWooWoo-ing" at all the funny parts.  Meri, they are so happy and healthy now.  And, I just know they watch over us everyday.  Hershala knows about Piper and watches over the twin llamas and, of course, you and the boyz.  He is always with you.

Sending hugs and wishing you peace,
Betsy's forever mom

Dear Meriam, Silver, Mozart & Kuggel –

6 months  . . . How time passes us by so quickly.  I had my sweet kitty Rusty for 21+ years and I’m still trying to figure out where all the time went.  He left me on Feb. 16, 2008, so he’s been gone 11 weeks and 1 day and now I struggle with the passage of time for a different reason.

His brother’s letter was so sweet and I’m sure Hershey hears all of the love conveyed in those words.

To Hershey, your mommy and your brothers all miss you and love you so very much. Stay safe and have a wonderful day.

Please know that you are all in my thoughts as your remember your sweet boy Hershey on his 6th month anniversary at the bridge.

To our earth angel furbabies that have gone on ahead to the Rainbow Bridge . . . we love and miss you so.

Rusty’s Mom.
