For those of you that don't know,I lost my cat George two weeks tommorrow.I raised him from a bottle and he was only 8months old.George loved to be outside and that night he went out and the next morning when I went to let him in he was hurt.We rushed him to the vet and she said this was the worst case of a cats jaw (it was broke in three places) that she had ever seen. There was nothing she could do and he wouldn't be able to grab his food so I cried as she said it would be best to put him down.He was the first pet I have ever had to put to sleep and it still hurts.I have a table in the living room that George loved to play on.On the bottom shelf is a pic of me and my parents. We always had to fix the picture because George either knocked it down or moved.I haven't been able to dust because I broke my leg 2 1/2 months ago and still on cruches.Friday night I was crying over George and call out his name, nothing happened so I went to bed.I got up Sat morning and the picture had been turned sideways and when I went to put it back in place there were little paw prints all over the table that could be seen on the dust.I think maybe George heard me and came back for one last visti.George I love and miss you so much.

Dear kburchfield:

No doubt in my mind that was your George.  Makes no difference how, when, where or why it happened just that George made it happen.  It is a comfort when these things happen but can also bring a sadness too.  I don't believe that this was his one last time, I'm sure that George will continue to let you know he is there.  Maybe not exactly the same way so keep your mind and eyes open for any sign.  It is so exciting when these little things happen and we have the opportunity to feel their love once again.  It says alot when they break the barrier to get back to us to let us know that they still love us and are with us.  They know that they will be carried in our hearts for the rest of our life but it sure is great to know they are there.

I am so excited and happy for you!  Your George is one special cat and loves you so.

Thanks for sharing that story.

Dear Kathy,

Yes, I truly believe this was your first "visit" from your beloved little prankster, George, telling you, in his own special way, he is okay at the Bridge.  I think when it is a sign from our babies, we "recognize" it, as you have.

Sending hugs,

It is truly amazing the signs we get from our pets who have gone to the Rainbow Bridge!  I am so happy for you that George communicated in a way that you could really grasp.  Continue to look for signs and for him to appear in your dreams.  He is with you now - you just can't see him in the way you used to.
