Something truly amazing happened last night, and I can't help but think it was a sign from Luna.  I was putting Kona's toys away last night in a basket and she was watching me carefully.  She then disappeared upstairs for a little while.  When she came down I almost fainted.  She had one of Luna's old toys in her mouth - one that I didn't even know we had anymore. I thought I had gotten rid of all her toys over a year ago because I couldn't stand to look at them.  I have absolutely no idea where Kona found it either - it's a squeaky lady bug with a pull rope attached.  It's such a mystery. I sat down and cried and she started kissing me, and sat very close to me for awhile.  It was such an amazing special moment - I just had to share it with you all.  Here's an updated picture of Kona - she's fitting in with our family very well.

God Bless,

Gerlie (Gypsy and Luna's forever mom)

Oh Gerlie!  Kona looks like a mixture of Gypsy and Luna!  She is so beautiful and has such soulful eyes!  I'm sure the two of them sent her to you! Just as I'm certain Luna led her to that toy!  There are no mistakes, no accidents!  Kona is right where she belongs and I have no doubt that she is making a place in your hearts that will remain as special to you as Gypsy and Luna!
Tell me now, didn't you feel at that moment that life was/is infinitely good? We are so lucky to have had these "kids" of ours!  Call it blessed, lucky....whatever.........they changed us as human beings and made us better!  That's quite a legacy don't you think?!?  I'll never be the same for having been loved by my Rudy!  He was one in a million, but the bond I'm growing with Riley is just as strong!  They teach us different life lessons and we grow in different directions based on our needs at that time in our life.  I firmly believe that, just as I believe they are sent to complete us in a way that no other being can!  They are special "these kids of ours!"  Just love her as you loved Gypsy and Kona, we have plenty to go around!  She will never disappoint you, just as You will never let her down!  Sending big hugs to all of you and praying for gentle peace and much love in your life!

In friendship...
Donna (Rudy & Rileysmom)

Wow, what a wonderful sign from your Luna...she just wanted you to know that she's still around and that she approves of your new furbaby and therefore will share her toys.

Thankyou so much for sharing, it bought tears to my eyes.

Oh my goodness Donna!  You're right!  Kona really is a mix of Gypsy and Luna.  Why didn't I see that?  I'm sitting at my desk in tears, because after reading your post, the reality of it hit me like a ton of bricks.  My co-workers are concerned about me and I keep telling them I'll be ok, but WOW - I'm a mess.  A good mess, if you know what I mean.  Kona is most definitely a mix of my two girls.  She has Luna's eyes and ears and silly antics, and even a few golden hairs come through her fur.  And she has Gypsy's gentle nature and compassion.  I'm just blown away.  Thank you SO MUCH for noticing that - I feel elated right now.  God Bless this website - it's such a saving grace!!

I heard Saxon barking the other night but I'm not sure if it's a sign or just me losing my mind.
