I miss Ace so much...it's been almost 8 months and although I have good days, tonight has been so hard. My daughter came across some pictures of him, and the pain came back with such intensity I thought I might pass out. Ace of Spades was my everything, and some days I still can't beleive he's gone....please say a prayer for me. My prayers are with each of you....

Prayers are coming Jill. I understand how you feel. A fleeting thought or a blink of an eye can trigger these emotions at anytime. It puts tears in my eyes right at that moment, regardless of where I am or what I am doing. And I don't think it will ever change...

Thank You everyone...I appreciate the prayers so much. This is by far the most difficult thing I've ever been through. His pictures are everywhere, and I have no desire at all to change that. I love remembering him, but I know I have to accept the grief as well. I can't even find the words to explain how lost and empty I feel.

You're all in my prayers...it's so comforting to come here and talk freely without fear of being judged...thank again

Pitbull Mama, I still have my difficult times as well.  It has been seven months since CoCo died and 5 months since Taterbug died and not a day goes by that I don't talk to them and still tell them how loved they are and how much I miss them.

Dear Jill,

We're from the same time at our losses approximately and if there are times when I almost feel like I overcame the tragic phase of grief for missing Sashimi and I can cope there comes a night when I fall apart again. It's very strange. A pet loss counselor I once visited warned me that this might even happen many years from now. I guess it really means how strong our love is for our babies and that that sometimes common fear we have of forgetting them has no place to be.

Hang in there. It will become easier day by day. Everyday closer to your darling Ace of Spades (but still with a lot of good years to live and share, right? :) )*
