Has anyone heard anything from Betsy57??? Last I heard her kitty Polly was at the university for continued treatment of renal disease.
Never heard anything since. Worried about her!!!

Loudpurring!  I just got home today--12 days --renal failure caused by metacam.  The vet gave her two shots in four days and never said one word to me about it.  he told me he was giving antibiotics.  When I called him after I first found out what was wrong, he said she probably was in renal failure and the metacam sent her over the edge.  he was not concerned at all.  Anyway, she is doing really well.  The doctor wants acheck on her kidney values in two weeks.  Because my cat is such a stresser, they have found they have to be very careful with her.  She nearly died from the trip up--went into respiratory distress.

It was hard sitting in the waiting room day after day not only worrying about her but seeing people with their dogs.  I would think that if I had taken my dog to these vets, she would still be with me. The sadness and grief overwhelms me.

Thank you so much for all your help--I may still need it.  I realize you are never home free with kidney failure.  This site is still my lifeline. Thank you for thinking of me !

Dear Becky

I am so glad that Polly is better.  Hopefully she will continue to improve.  I know how worried you are.

Take care
