Hi Pet Loss friends:

I don't come here very often any more, but I just had to today to pay tribute to the purest soul that ever existed - our little Brandy girl.

She brought such love and light into our lives for 17 wonderful years.  When we lost her 5 years ago today it was the darkest day ever.  But with the help of all of the wonderful friends I made on Pet Loss we have made it through.

Today is a beautiful sunshiny day here and we sat out in our yard, just like we did with her 5 years ago when we were waiting for the vet to come to our house.  The little tree that we planted a couple of weeks after she left has tripled in size and is thriving.

Even though we miss her terribly we know that she is happy and healthy again, running and playing with all her friends and her angel sister Miriam.  That is what gives us the most comfort.

Thank you to Ed W for this wonderful site and for everyone that comes here and shares their comfort and love.

Hugs to all,
Barb (Angel Brandy's and Angel Miriam's mom)

Dear Barb,
My heart truly goes out to you my friend.... I know how difficult today is - and how much you still miss your sweet little Brandy.  Your words of tribute and remembrance brought tears.... surely she was the purest soul and such a blessing to you and your family.  Now she watches over you....  I hope that she is able to visit you today and send you a sign to comfort your heart.

Today, I pictured little Brandy, with Miriam, Lee Lee and all their friends celebrating at an awesome party with the Angels, enjoying lots of toys and all their favorite treats.... and I'm sure that Lee Lee found her a pretty.... for some reason, I think it was a really small, really special pretty.... so small that all Brandy could see was just Lee Lee prissing around, talking abut it.... until she dropped her gift at Brandy's feet..... maybe a beautiful little flower for a beautiful little girl....

I'm thinking of you today Barb.... and sending warm hugs...
~Lee Lee'a Mama~

Ourbrandy, may I ask if you buried or cremated? And if you cremated, did the ashes provide comfort, or was it hard to see them in an urn? I don’t know what to do. :(

Dear Melanie:

Thanks so much for all your support over these 5 years.  I don't know what I would have done without you and the others here.

We all understand the amount of grief we still hold.  I find that some family members just don't get it and feel like I should long be over with this by now.  So the comfort I receive from you and my other friends here is what I hold dear to my heart, because you all "get it."

What a very wonderful tribute to your girl. It truly doesn't matter the length of time that we said goodbye, we still hold tight to the wonderful journey we shared with our fur kids. I lost Dakota 18 years ago and that is when I found this sight. It saved me and helped to remember him through out the years and to share with others that lost a fur kid too and that we were all understood and know the pain and heart ache. The support we gain here is so very valued and appreciated. My heart dog, Termy just passed 10 months ago and I was totally devastated. I found friends and support again.
We never get over "it". We just learn to live in a new normal. I am so happy that you shared many wonderful years with Brandy and I hope you are doing well. Peace to you and Brandy.

Thinking of you on Brandy's anniversary. How time flies when I first got to know you, Brandy and Miriam.
We don't post much but we do think of each other often.  This wonderful site has brought us together and we heal each other by sharing our loss.
Wish you well and Wish sweet white angel Brandy a belated anniversary, I believe she is somewhere playing with all of our angels!

Thanks, Donna.  No need to apologize.  I don't come here that often any more either, but I do so love catching up with all the special friends that have gotten me through these past 5 years.

Hugs to you and angel kisses to your Bella,

Dearest Barb,

It's been so long since I've been on Petloss but I couldn't let the year finish without wishing all my friends here a very Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year.

I apologize for the anniversaries I've missed but know I always think of all my friends here.  I see Brandy had a 5 year anniversary, my goodness how time flies. My Smudgie will be gone 5 years in March of 2019 and I still can't believe that much time has gone by.  Wishing your sweet angel a happy belated anniversary at the bridge.

I lost another one of my beloved furbabies in May,  my sweet Jadie,  but I do get a bit of comfort knowing she is with my beloved Smudgie,  but I do miss them both so much.

Happy New Year and may 2019 be a good year for all of us.

Warm Hugs,

Nancy,  Mom to Calie, Sparkie, Ollie, Jazzie and Angel Smudgie and Angel Jadie.
