I recently got a 7 year old maltypoo that we named Chloe. We got her from a sketchy guy on craigs list but didnt realise what he was at the time. He wanted to give her up because he had let her fall out his window while driving and she broke her hip. We got her for free and he said he would cover the cost of her medical bills. Me and my familly instantly bonded with her. She was instantly so loveable and had all these quirks that made her so special such as how she would stand on her hind legs and beg for whole minutes at a time. We only had her for a month and a half and were already madly in love with her. One day the old owner said he wanted to give her a checkup and we agreed because he seemed well meaning but as he was driving her he said that she had bitten him and he hit her and she ended up flying out the window again but this time for the last time. I am so sad right now and cant believe that the world would be so cruel to cut off our time togeather. She was my first dog and im only 16. I poured all my love and belly rubs into her and only a month and a half into our relationship she was stripped away.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I also want to smack the Craigslist guy in the face, but that would be unhelpful.

This is such a horrible experience for your first time having a pet.  I hope you and your family are able to heal.  When you're ready, maybe consider getting a pet from a reputable shelter or rescue organization.

How horrible!  Since you know who this person is and where he lives I would report him to the local SPCA and tell them your story.  It is not right what this person did...animal cruelty.  Who knows how many other times he has been cruel to animals.

I agree that when you are ready for another pet to go to a rescue shelter and choose the one who really chooses you.

Blessings,
Jean
