A tribute to my boy Pogo...

You lit up my life and comforted me when I was in need.  You were the best friend, dog or otherwise to me.  You were my constant companion and loved me regardless of the day I was having.  You knew how to make me laugh and filled my life with so much joy and happiness.  You stayed by my side always never wavering no matter what.  You were in my life for 16 plus years, and even though you are up at Rainbow Bridge now and have been there for 11 years on Christmas Day, not a day goes by when you are not with me in heart and soul.  G-d created an angel in you and brought you to me when Mom was in need.  We miss having you here on earth, but we knew we had to let you go to the Bridge.  It was your time to go ahead of us...but...

We will honor you forever and cherish your life whenever possible.  You will always be in Mom's heart and soul, and to me and Dad you brought a little brother Bosgo who just turned 11 too.  Your little brother has your toys and lights up our life as you did.  We also have Granny's little dog Simmi who you never met.  She is almost 11 as well.

Mom wanted to come visit you up the lake on Christmas Day, but there is going to be a big snowstorm around here.  I promise to come on Tuesday and will bring you your roses, your card, and your helium balloons.

We love you very much Pogie and wish you the best Christmas Day.  Your evergreen tree now gracefully covers you where you has grown so big and is representative of my love for you.

Merry Christmas my boy.  I will remember you until the day I die!

Adena, what a wonderful, heart-felt letter to you precious Pogo. I love how you wrote about how Pogo's evergreen tree has grown so big and is representative of your love for him. This summer I planted a hydrangea for my Squeeker in one of my gardens. It seemed to survive the summer, and I am hoping it will grow in size and bloom to represent my love for my special boy the way your tree does the same in honor of Pogo.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, human and furry ones alike, and a happy and blessed 2018 to all of you!
