Overwhelming sadness today. We were forced to move a month ago. We brought our 2 kitties with us Cinder and GrayC Cinder was only 1 and 1/2. I called her my heart kitty because she snuggled next to my heart every day. Last night she ran past us outside. We kept her inside due to the move and for her safety. She was unfamiliar with cars and the neighborhood. We searched for hours. Posted in all the online pet lost places. Then I saw a post in one that described a kitty that had been killed by a car. I raced the block away and found her collar in the street. Her body was taken by the driver until they could locate me. I keep thinking I failed her. I can't eat or sleep because she always was beside me. How do I cope? I lost my 17 year old kitty just 2 months ago. My father has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It's just too much. Please help me.

I am so sorry that grief is over whelming you. I am heart broken to hear that your sweet Cinder left you so early in her life. It was a tragic accident, nothing more. I know you feel you let her down, but you didn't. You were there for her and protected her. You did all you could to find her. Please be kind to yourself, Cinder understands and doesn't blame you. You will be okay, in time but give yourself time to cry and heal. I am sorry about your father too. Give him my best.

Sorry for what you are going through, and adding your fathers situation must wear on you, I lost my lab Charlie this morning, and I am struggling so much, the empty house is unbearable. I miss him horribly, and actually feel ill. Know that you are not alone.
