I knew I wouldn't have her long, she was 14 when I adopted her last year. I wanted her last few years to be in a loving home, being catered to. I couldn't understand how someone could raise her and care for her for 14 years and suddenly not love her anymore.
Her time with me was shorter than I had anticipated. Labored breathing made me take her to the vet, the diagnosis was cancer. Though I didn't have you long, I will miss you little girl.

Oh, I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though you did not have Crystal Kitty long, please know that you gave her a wonderful life. I also cannot believe that someone would give up their senior pets. Perhaps they themselves became ill and could no longer care for them. God Bless you for giving her the care you did. Clara

Thank God you gave her the loving home she deserved. You took a chance on a senior and gave her what she should have had in the first place. You can bet your little girl loved every second of her time with you.

What a kind soul you are to take an older kitty home to love and care for. I am sure that she loves you for that no matter how short her time was with you. I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

so nice of you to adopt an older cat! it seems like everyone just walks passed them to look at the little kittens. its so sad that she had to go to the shelter after all those years! im sure she was happy that you took her in and loved her! love is love no matter how long you had her. thank you for being a wonderful fur mom to an older gal!

Mammasix, thank-you for adopting an elderly cat. You helped Crystal know that she was still a beautiful and deserving creature. Her last days were spent in a loving home, not in a cage or out in the streets.
Mammasix, you are a credit to the human race.
