Dear sweet baby girl. It's been a week since I took you to the vet one last time and said goodbye. Everyday I cry out of grief for our loss. Choosing to let you go was the hardest decision of my life. Even now as I write this, I question whether I let you go too soon, if I should have given you more time, if you would forgive me for letting you go, if you would feel like I gave up on you. Everyday is a challenge to get through. I love you and miss you baby girl. I wish you were here with me right now snuggling and hearing me whisper to you how much your mom loves and adores you. To the best friend and support anyone could ask for, I will always love you and will never stop missing you. Xox your Mommy.

Morriash, I am sorry for your loss of Patches. It is a hard decision to make when we choose to let them go ahead of us. And, second guessing is something we do. I believe that you made a decision based on your love, and not wanting to see Patches suffer. After reading your previous post, I do believe you made the right decision for her. I am sure she feels there is nothing to forgive, and she knows you love her so much that you was willing to let her go, though you knew how much pain it would cause you. I wish that I could offer more words of comfort, having been through this grief myself. It is not an easy road to travel. But, those on this site know how hard it can be to let a loved one go ahead of us, and we are always here.
