I put my Irish setter to sleep a week ago. It killed me I cry constantly asking myself if it was the right decision. His back legs were bad he lost his bowels he ate and drank but kept on getting thinnner. Back in dec he was peeing blood I thought he was dying then we took him to vet surprisely he got better. It was around Xmas I begged him to stay with me for the holidays. He was so bad from bladder infection he was lifeless. Vet said if it didn’t clear up he could have cancer. He was already 14 or 15 she didn’t recommend surgery. He got better but detiorated I put him down a week ago it was funny my clean clothes I found poop on my pants feel like it’s the dog telling me it’s ok

I don't think they haunt us so much as they come back to visit us from time to time. They send us signs to let us know they are thinking of us.
