I just lost my best friend today. Dusty was my beloved cat of 11 years. Last week he was fine, playing, smiling, being bad. He started vomited which is not normal for him and than he fell over. Rushed him to vet er, they thought his colon was stopped but than the X-rays came back showing a very enlarged heart. After days of taking him to a specialist, attempting to give him medication and rapidly deteriorate, made decision to let him go. I held him the whole time while the vet gave him the cocktail. I don’t know how I got home, my shirt is soaking wet from the tears. I know he is a better place but I’m selfish and I wish he was here. he has been by my side thru two kidney transplants, dialysis, multiple hospitalizations. I will miss you forever Dusty. That day you and I met at the humane society was one of the best days of my life.
