The very first anniversary of your passing is almost upon us, I can't believe it's come around so fast.
I loved you so very much. You were there for me through the depression and I'm so very grateful for that. I often feel guilty for signing that form, at the end, but then I remind myself that I did it because I loved you so very much. You were in a coma, having seizures, coughing up blood and not responding.. I was told you probably would never wake up and if you did you would very likely be brain damaged. I've gone over it over and over again in my head, asking if I was to blame.. Then I remind myself that you had at least two conditions that are common in elderly cats.. I medicated you twice a day for your thyroid . I took you to the vets every single time that I suspected something wasn't right, I put you on a prescription diet as soon as you were diagnosed with kidney disease..
I believe that we saved each other, you were abandoned and shut in a cattery miserable, and I was crippled with depression.

The pain of your passing was so unbearable, and I didn't want to be at home.. I decorated two rooms and had a huge sort out because I was afraid my dark thoughts would haunt me.
I hope you would be happy to know that I was offered a three legged little girl to care for.. She will never ever take your place, but I believe that she needed me too.
You would be so proud of me, I have taken enormous steps to improve my mental health and anxiety, and should be in employment soon :)
I have a lovely boyfriend now, we've been together 11months, he has two cats and eventually we would both like to foster cats.

Your passing was the most traumatic thing I have ever experienced, you took a piece of me with you, Ellie Woos. I shall never, ever forget you.. I shall visit you on Friday xx
