they were both blessed to have such wonderful lives, and furparents. this poem made me think of them ( and of course, anyone who has lost a beloved cat)

Four Feet in Heaven

Your favorite chair is vacant now...
No eager purrs to greet me.
No softly padded paws to run
Ecstatically to meet me.

No coaxing rubs, no plaintive cry
Will say it's time for feeding.
I've put away your bowl, and all
The things you won't be needing;

But I will miss you little friend,
For I could never measure
The happiness you brought me,
The comfort and the pleasure.

And since God put you here to share
In earthly joy and sorrow;
I'm sure there'll be a place for you
In Heaven's bright tomorrow...

That really says it all.  Can I add my Herbie and Belle to the list along with Wizard and Cheeseburger?

What an absolutely beautiful poem!

Thank you so much for mentioning my Cheeseburger with Wizard. I felt something so very special when I saw Wizard's picture - he reminded me of my Cheesey. Such a sweet, kind soul. I am sure the two of them have found each other and are happy and healthy, free of pain and sickness. My heart and prayers are with Wizard's Dad Bob.

It was 1 month yesterday that I lost my handsome boy Cheeseburger. He was my baby, my best friend, and I miss him so much. I was blessed to have him in my life. He always made me smile; just being with him was joy; I miss his sweet meows, soothing purrs, and our "head bumps."

It really means so much to me to know people care. I have met so many wonderful people here. I thank everyone for their love and support.

I am making a scrapbook for my Cheesey and I will include the poem in it.

Thank you again so much. The poem truly touched my heart.

To My Cheesey: Mommy loves you " My Little Bunny Cat." I know you are well now - breathing free, running, playing and making friends and how could I forget "watching the birdies." I know you and Wizard are best of friends. I will never ever forget you. You will always be 'My Little Tiger Boy." You are in my heart forever. I LOVE YOU CHEESEBURGER!!!
