I rescued a kitten from a parking lot a couple days ago. I found people who wanted to adopt her right away, as I have 3 cats already, and thought I didn't need another. They agreed to adopt her. I didn't know I would fall in love in just 2 days! I brought her to them, but was so distraught and emotional. I feel so heartbroken. I want her back, but they are now unwilling. I feel I made a mistake, and should have listened to my heart. She is safe, but I feel I would have been the better home. I have so much love for her still. Any advice for comfort? I'm still miserable after 2 days.

Think about how happy you made that new family. They are going to spoil her and let her have a happy life like she deserves. But you made this possible! You saved her! I'm sure it was hard to do, but you did the right thing

Thanks for your response. Well, I am eating a little now, and have only cried once today, which is an improvement. She was just so precious to me, just getting used to my home and the other cats. So loving, healthy and beautiful. I have to believe she is adapting to her new home, and is being loved even half as much as I love her. You are sweet to reply, I know this isn't as severe as most other posts on here, but it has been a major emotional event for me. Feels like grieving over a death. I know things will get better for me soon. Thanks so much again.💔😥😊
