I saw this on facebook and couldn't help but think of all of us ...
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered 'Come home with me'. With tearful eyes I saw you pass away. Although I love you dearly, I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke my heart and soul to show me He takes the BEST.

Dear Lori,

I too saw this on FB. So so true. It reaches down deep.

it is lovely - i was curious as to the author - i found the following:

God saw that he was getting tired
And the cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around him
And whispered, "Come with Me."

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Busy little hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren't the same
Since you went away.

When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
"Cheer up and carry on."

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."

Thank you Ghatten, for looking that up. It's even more beautiful with the entire poem. It feels like it was meant just for us ... although I know it's for anyone grieving. Did you read anything about the author? I couldn't find anything about her in particular. I'm curious who she wrote this for.

Thanks again,
Lori
