My dear PepperDog, today marks the 11th year of your passing.  Yes, I remember... and I will remember this sad day as long as I can remember.  You will forever be my one and only Lil Friend.  A few years ago, Sepsis nearly brought us together at the Rainbow Bridge.  Now, it's cancer.  Surgery may delay our reunion, but only time will tell. You are still here with me in my heart and in my precious memories.  Today, you are especially in my heart.  Love never ends my Lil Friend.

Happy belated 11 year Bridge Day, Pepper. Your dad loves and misses you so much and always will, no matter how much time passes.

Dean, I am sorry to hear you have been diagnosed with cancer. I hope the surgery is successful and your treatment works so you are cancer-free. I have seen friends go through cancer. Some survived. Some did not and are sadly no longer here. I hope you will be in the first category and that you have many more years here on earth...

Kelly,

Thank you for your kind words and good thoughts.  I didn't think anybody actually read these things.  LOL  Nice to hear from you.  I hope the surgery on February 17 is a success.  Time will tell.  I would appreciate your prayers.  Friend me on Facebook and I can keep you posted.  ; )

Blessings to you,

dean

Dean,

Good luck with your surgery and best wishes.  You memorial is a moving read.  Your love and dedication to your lost friend is extremely touching.  I hope to do the same with my bud Chunk who I lost 8 days ago.  I feel the exact same.  There will be others but never another that will replace him.  I don't ever want to replace him, he was the best mate that I've had in my lifetime.  Having a family and another rescue dog has helped me immensely get through the pain.  He was actually able to teach her a lot before he left.  I don't know if it was the exact right time to put him down but I no longer feel guilty about my decision.  I'll always hold out hope that one day we will be reunited also.

Good luck with everything.

Hello my Friend.  I am terribly sorry to hear of your recent loss.  To learn of the passing of such a companion breaks my heart.  Yes, I do know how you feel and pray for comfort in your loss.

Hi Dean,
My apologies for taking so long to reply to you. Did the surgery go well? I hope it did and that you are on the mend. I would love to friend you on FB - let me know how to find you there and I'll send you a request.

Not to hijack your thread, but my 23-year old wonder cat Thomas passed away last Thursday on March 5. It was the day after Mary, the person that cared for him for over 20 years but died a bit under 3 years ago, had her birthday. From what I can tell, Thomas got up from his usual sleeping place to go get a drink of water and wash his paws in the water bowl. And then his little heard just gave out on him. I had just checked in on him 30 minutes before he died and he was doing just fine - he ate all of his breakfast that morning and he was purring for me several times. So he passed peacefully, and on his own terms. The way it should be, especially for a kitty that lived such a long and glorious life. And now he and Mary are reunited up in heaven, never to be separated again.

I will miss that boy - what an amazing cat, to live for at least 23 years and still be full of life and love up until the end. We should all be so lucky to go that way when our time comes.

Anyhow, I hope you are doing well. Please check in when you have a chance and let us know how things are with you.
