Last week I had to say goodbye to the love of my life, my beloved Brielle (Briebrie).  She was a 16 year old cat and developed a bone marrow problem and she declined very rapidy. The day I took her to the vet to be euthanized was one of the hardest days of my life.  Now her sister Chanel and I are very sad.  Brielle made us so happy with her beautiful smile, powerful headbutts and sweet kisses.  Brielle was support for me during so many difficult times in my life.  She was a big furball and would cuddle with me whenever she had the chance.  I hope and pray that my sweet Brielle is forever at peace.

I'm so sorry about the passing of your baby, Brielle.

I know that she is at peace at the Rainbow Bridge with all our furbabies.

I will keep you, Chanel and Brielle in my prayers.

Big Hug,

Piggy's Mom

I am so sorry to learn your beloved Brielle has passed.   What a beautiful name for a kitty.   I will keep you and sweet little Chanel in my prayers.

Please come back here for support if you feel the need.  Everyone here is so wonderful and has walked in your shoes.   You don't have to go through this alone.

Sending hugs,

I'm so sorry you have lost your Beloved Brielle.  Making the decision to help her to the Bridge was the ultimate gift of love that you gave her, relieving her of her pain.  It is a tremendously difficult decision to make - sometimes love hurts so bad.

Keeping you and Brielle's sister, Chanel in my thoughts.

Dear Briebrie's Mom,

I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved Brielle.  It is so difficult to make such a caring decision, and so very hard to let our sweet babies go on ahead of us, and then to go on without them. I understand ~ I had to make the same sad decision back in December for my little guy, Max, and my heart truly broke that day.  I hope that you can find some measure of comfort in your girl Chanel.  You have come to a great place for healing and support.  You and your kitty-girls will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Many Hugs,
MaxsMom

Thank you so much for all your replies. This is such an amazing site with so many supportive people.  It is really so nice for me to have others to communicacte with who are caring and understand, because BrieBrie (and Chane her sister) were with me for 16 years but my husband and I are newly married and although he takes care of BrieBrie and Chanel he doesn't have the same emotional connection.  BrieBrie went to the rainbow bridge over a week ago and I miss her terribly and Chanel has become so needy and affectionate and doesn't leave my side.   Thank you again for all your wonderful support,

Barbara

Barbara,

I am so sorry for your loss of Brielle. (What a beautiful name!) This road we travel after saying goodbye to our loved ones is not an easy one. But, I know that if you listen with your heart, you will hear Brielle right there, still with you, always. Trust in that and in the love that you made this decision with to let her go.

I'm so sorry. I'm sending big hugs your way.
