I had a beautiful lovely cat name tabatha we had for 16 years. She survived 5 moves a mauling of a racoon then was lost or trapped for three days. She was my friend baby family member. I had to euthanize her but not sure if i should have i feel devestated heart broken ry every night she had been going down hill howling everynight in pain she would vomit hide and behavior changes eating less to sometimes barely sleeping all day her sleep cycles off. She has thyroid issues and a few other things took her too vet time after time she did have blood in urine we got antibiotics for that but still with her age and howls when the lights go out she was distancing her self in a dark closet just bieng away we had a decision to make to end her suffering euthanization. I feel guilty like i should have given more time and ignored her cries and delt with her meows those deep howls like at the moon and pooping in different spots hiding we would just go and get love anyways. But im really dad grief stricken i regret euthanization i miss deeply deeply my emotions are real and raw happened june 9 2020. Wish i can go back in time tabatha was my study buddy at my computer and followed me everywhere love head butts kisses and singing to her sleeping in our bed i felt safe and calm. I loved andvadored 16 years

From the way you described what Tabatha was going through, it sounds to me like you definitely made the right decision and did what was best for her.  Sometimes we have to make very difficult decisions and do what is best for our pets, because they can't make those decisions for themselves.  You gave Tabatha 16 wonderful, happy years, and that is the very best gift you could have given her.

I understand your pain. So sorry for your loss. She knew she was loved.
