Hi everyone,

It's been 25 days 4 hours and 36 minutes since my Bethybabe went to sleep, and I'm now able to stop crying for hours at a time.  I have had a large picture of her hung on the wall in my sitting room, and she watches me as I work and I talk to her all the time. Today something wonderful happened. I was sitting at the kitchen table having a snack and Sam, my other Lab, came and put his head on my knee, his way of asking for a tidbit.  I gave him a biscuit and he moved away, then I felt, from my other side, his head again asking for another as I thought, I looked down ready to say no more and he wasn't there, he was in the sitting room lying on the carpet. It could only have been Bethy, she always asked after Sam and it was such a definate pressure on my lap.  I have waited for this since she went, needed to know that she was alright and that she was still near me. Now I know, and I feel so much lighter and want to laugh and cry at the same time, if she now needs to move on that's fine by me. Thank-you baby, pretty girl, I love you.

Yes, I think it was definitely a sign from Bethy letting you know she is still near you.  How wonderful!  The first "sign" I ever received from a departed pet was when I was nine years old and had lost my beloved Boston terrier, Lollipop, during whelping.  I was sitting on a swing when suddenly I felt a pressure in my lap (I used to hold her in my lap and gently swing with her).  When I looked down, I saw a single dog hair on my skirt and knew it was her.  I ran inside and told my mom.  My mom agreed it was Lollipop letting us know she was doing just fine in heaven.

Thank you so much for sharing.  May you have many more visits from your precious girl.

Dear Bethy,

What a wonderful sign from your beloved Bethy.  It is really very comforting when something like that happens so take it in and enjoy as much of the feeling as you can and always know that Bethy is with you.  When things like that happen it makes this horrible ordeal a little easier to deal with.  I am truly happy for you and the peace that comes with knowing that Bethy is still here with you.
