So last night my bearded dragon Zelena finally passed away all week she has been not well we took her to a vet and they said it was calcium deficiency and I felt so guilty I still do I felt I wasn’t taking good enough care of her she was my first pet which was just mine :( and I had her sense she was the size of my finger I feel so bad also cause 28 days ago before any of this I got 8 duck eggs and they hatched yesterday and it just feels like I replaced her to me and I feel like she feels the same way and I feel so bad, I also just feel guilty about her death I feel like I messed up in some way which now when we took her to Brooke side a vet near my house he said it wasn’t calcium Deficiency Yes she didn’t have as much as she needed but it wasn’t her main problem he made it clear she had something suck inside of her and I honestly I just I don’t know how to feel I feel so guilty about this I also feel I should find a new home for the ducks cause I can’t do it I feel like I traded her in which breaks my heart so badly I just feel so evil and I feel I never deserved her

I'm sorry for your loss.  Please don't make any quick decisions about your baby ducks, give yourself some time to grieve.  You are not replacing a beloved pet, you are giving a home and love to your sweet baby ducks. Guilt is part of the grieving process, you did the best that you could.  Sometimes, even when we give our pets all of your love and great care they get sick and pass away.  I know what I'm writing may not help much right now but I want you to know that all of us here have experienced loss and we understand your grief.  Please continue to reach out.
