It is not yet winter but winter surely blew in with a furry yesterday. We had sustained gusts of 70 miles per hour, the temps hovered near 12 during the day and dipped to eight last night. The wind chill made it feel like 10 below. Mom just used the snow blower thingy and made us some paths in the backyard to our favorite tree. She also used it on the front driveway and the front walkways so those are clear for now. The blower makes more noise than a jet engine, so we all hide ibn the house until it gets put back in the garage. The box with our winter gear is parked at the back door, mufflers, boots coats and mittens are all stashed in the box. Moms wet boots are on the drying rack and so our doggy boots. Imagine schelpping on 16 boots and having all the bros helping out by removing anothers bothersome footwear. Ruggy also likes to steal moms mittens and put them under the bed.

Mt. Mozart is once again beginning to rise in the back yard near the back gate. Mother Nature alwys helps Mozie with this project. The dumpster has been moved so he can no longer flip himself into it and then yell for help.

The temp right now is about 19 above and there is currently very little wind. Mom is going to get busy in the kitchen after lunch and make some breads and ruggelah for the holidays.

The bros are trying to decide what to watch on TV while mom works and I am going to go fluff up a down filled vlankie.

Peace to all who mourn.

WoW.... it's always amazing to here your stories.  Sounds like "Little House in Montana".   16 boots!  oh my goodness.  Well my back would be broke in half from attempting that "feat of feet", I can barely get my own shoes on some days!
And that's just part of the winter gear they all wear.  whew..... not to mention the snow blowing and the baking.  As I've said before Meri, listening to you just wears me out girl!

Well you and the boyz stay warm, stay well, and Happy Thanksgiving!
You be good Kuggy!!!

My mom knows how much I hate sweaters and so she is letting me grow out this fall. Never worn boots or mittens and don't intend to. Tonight in northeastern Ok, it's cold with a strong wind that sounds like it's going to rip the roof off our RV. I'm snuggled in Dad's robe that he leaves on the bed for me. I'll let you four boyz do the rest.

This a weather update, it is now 7 above zero with a wind chill making it feel like 12 below zero. The boyz are snuggled in for the night, I am heading out to start the cars and make sure all the gates are locked. I will have to shovel very early in the morning so I will be outside at around 4:30 AM. The boyz will stay in because in this bitter cold their back legs cave in and the cannot move. We hope all are warm and offer Peace to those with recent loss. Meri and the Frozen, Oop, the Fearsome Foursome
