Dear friends,

After my dad lost his precious Hootie and you were so kind to send prayers and well wishes for him and for Hootie.  My dad adopted a rescue dog named Hollie with the help of my brother and myself.  Hollie is a frightened little girl but is doing much better.

I have been away from here lately because my dad's health is failing.  He just turned 88 on May 14th.  I am hopeful but realistic about his recovery.  We are just trying to take it day by day.  It is a roller coaster ride but I'm not ready to get off the coaster quite yet.

I just wanted to let you all know that I hope to be able to be back posting here soon.  I have been so very grateful for all of you and I have found a home here.  I just have not able to be home (my own or here) as much as would like to be lately.

Please know that although I may not know specific needs, I do pray for us as a family every day.  All of you have helped me through some very difficult times this year with Kassidy having cancer.  Last year in July, I had also lost Mystic and Katie.  Then Abby went to the Bridge in December.  It's been a rough year.

I just wanted you to know that I don't forget this wonderful place.  I will try to be back when I can to post and in the meantime, just know that I think of you all everyday and pray for all the sick furkids and all of you who are suffering losses or feeling sad.

HUGS and much love!

Welcome back, and thank you for your prayers. I too include everyone here as well as those who may not be aware of this site but are going through the loss of a friend, companion and soul mate.--Jerry in Oklahoma

Dear Christy
The beauty of this site is that we can come and go from here.  The thing is, when we come back we are welcomed just the same.  Glad that your Dad has a new pup, I am sure that it must help him even though he is frail.  Thinking of you, Di xxx

Hi Christy,

I am so sorry to hear you dad isn't doing well. I can definately relate. My Dad just got out of the hospital yesterday, (conjestive heart failure). He has been dealing with this for several years now, but he is 85 years old, and it gets very scarey. I remember how heartbreaking your posts were when your Dad lost Hootie. You and your Dad have been in many thoughts here. We are one big family. I will say a prayer for you Dad.

Hugs, Jacki
