My Gsd Jane passed away 2 hours ago.. She was suffering from Canine Distemper and was only 2 years old, we did everything till the very end.. She was paralyzed and very aggressive at the end. She couldn't recognize us. As I write I can't control the tears and I don't know what to do.. She was too young and she was taken away from us..
She was up to date with all her vaccinations and I don't know what went wrong but now I can't breath properly and whenever I close my eyes she is there... She was such a good girl, she didn't deserve to suffer like this

I am so sorry that your Jane has passed. I know how horrible distemper is, having seen it many times with puppies. Rest assured you did all you could do, most importantly you loved her with all your heart. There are so many things that can help in beginning our healing process. Let your tears flow, they are an important part of healing and she is worthy of every one. I talk to my babies, those who are no longer with me in the physical sense and those who are. My little Piper loves sitting in my lap as I babble away telling her how special she is and how much I love her. She is almost fourteen years old, her health is failing and our time together will end all too soon but I cherish every moment as I know you do with Jane. A part of her is still with you, the bond of love you share can never be broken. She may come to you in your dreams or at times feel so close you can almost reach out and touch her. Jane was indeed a good girl and you were so blessed to be with each other. Please take care, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace precious Jane.
