Some of you may rememer Johnny Jumps from my posts in April, when he was hit by a minivan.

Well, he is back in the hospital. Looks like a fight with a racoon. He has a pretty large tear down to the muscle on his shoulder. I stopped by my friends house and and decided to take him in. he had a little scab that she had pulled off of him about 3 weeks ago. She remarked about how quickly he had healed. He is a cat. Cat=wounds heal quick=abscess!!!!! So of course it has ruptured and looks bad. He also doesn't feel well. I will x-ray  him and do bloodwork in the morning.

johnny has also found a little calico 8 week old kitten friend. They were sleeping together. It was so sad, when I put him in the carrier to take him to the vet the little girl ran up and pulled on the bars of the cage door. then jumped on top of the carrier and mewed. I felt like the biggest jerk in the world.

Johnny has been laying on his back in his cage making buisquetts with his paws in the air. Everyone loves him.Although they have not had to work on him yet. He is a squirmy chalenge.

Dear Heidi

Sounds like Jonny Jumps is a real handful.....sending him love and wishes for a speedy recovery.  Tell him to stay out of trouble, but then, perhaps he has learned his lesson.

My dog went to the kennels today as we are on holiday for a week.  I am now under seige from the siamese who lives over the back.  He really wants in, tried to jump in the window, but missed and slid down the wall.  Had to give him a cuddle then didnt I.

He was taken in a while ago by a lady who tries to feed all of the cats, she is lovely.  Restores your faith in human nature doesnt it.   Take care, Love Di xxx

Hi;
Johnny is doin better. He is schedualed to have his wound cleaned up and have surgery on tuesday. We will also extract hisupper canine toothe that was broken when he was hit by the minivan a few months back. He is very mad at me. Makes busquits in the air on his back until he sees me then he is very coo to me. Tried to bite me on Friday. Just a warning though. Probably hurt him with his broken toothe and all. But for now he is back with his 8 week olld calico kitten friend at home and happy again. That is till tuesday.

Di, Sounds like that siamese wants to be your cat. Or thinks she is your cat. What a nice lady that is to try to care for all the cats. You might want to (if you can, since I don't know your situation or anything) donate some food or something to her. It can be quite a burden on people that feed alot of animals as you know. I used to give boxes of samples I would get at work to people that did so.

I remember there was one time I saw a sweet older lady who was living in her car with 3 cats and I felt so bad for her. I gave her food for the cats, but I didn't have much. A few weeks later I had come into some cash and wanted to give her $1,000.00 or so. Thought it could help. I never saw her again. I looked and looked but now sign of her and nobody knew what I was talking about. See, I had just seen her in a savon parking lot. Funny, how I never could find her again. I always felt so bad for her, cause that could be any one of us.

Anyway, thank you both for your thoughts and prayers. I don't think Johnny Jumps will ever learn not to get into trouble. After all he is Johnny Jumps into trouble again.

Loudpurring,

I keep your buddy, Johnny Jumps Into Trouble Again  :)   in my prayers, too.  What a character!  I hope he stays out of trouble now that he has his new little calico companion.

Johnny Jumps is not going to have surgery in the morning. he feels fine. Fine enough to go hunting and bring my friend lizard gifts, and when that didn't make her happy, he went out and brought her a big fat screaming rat. Boy that was just the right gift. Johnny Johnny Johnny

So, Johnny Jumps Update:

This weekend he was on my friends back patio. It was dark. She said he was on his hind legs standing up like a person, swaying and twisting his body rythmically. She thought he was playing with a butterfly, but it was night and dark. Upon further inspection, it was a RATTLESNAKE!!!! She freaked out because it was in a striking pose. She screamed at Johnny and he bolted right past her and all she could grab was his tail OUCH. She hugged him to her chest got inside, did a head count, all acounted for. Even his girlfriend calico kitten. She loked him over and he was fine. No bites. Crazy crazy silly jumping cat. So, guess he is over his problems. We will get the toothe removed one day, just not today. He is very happy. I saw him over the weekend. He makes bisquits in the air on his back and is in love with his kitten. He still rules the dogs. All three Mastiffs.

On a sadder note one of his dog friends was put down this weekend. It was his time. A little french bulldog named Peepers. So my friend and her pet family all mourn for him. And I do too. He was a tough little dog. All of 18 lbs. ruling over 3 matiffs all weighing over 110 lbs each and all protection dogs. Crazy little French Bulldog would growl and snap at them and they would lay down at his feet as if they knew they were introuble. I, they, and she will miss him dearly. Allthough the next time Johhny Jumps stares at the ceiling or the door and has "the look" on his face I think we will all know why.

Johnny Jumps is a character, and I'm so glad he is doing so well - I continue to keep him in my thoughts and always watch for updates on him.  So sorry for the loss of the French Bulldog - they are feisty little ones.  My condolences to all who love the little guy.

Bless your heart, Loudpurring.

Johnny Jumps is doing great. Playing with his calico Baby named Hara. I almost adopted her out, but Johnny's mom and hers now changed her mind. So another little kitten that needed a home got an excellent home with a client who had lost her Baby after a long battle 5 months or so ago. All concerned are happy. Especially Johnny who gets to keep his friend around.
