In just 29 hours I will meet my new possible new fur baby. Am I ready-----99% Am I scared-----100% Am I happy-------1000% No one in our family had told us not to get another dog. A few are silent on the issue, but The rest are in agreement that we should. The gentleman who is bringing us the dog will have to make a nearly 200 mile round trip. Oh, also, a little tidbit about him. He is a pilot and volunteers his free time to fly these rescue dogs to their new homes. Today(Saturday) he is flying to St. Louis with a dog and then on to San Anontio, Tx. Now this man and all that do the same thing deserve all the respect and love in th world. What they do is a true act of love, kindness and compassion. It will be an honor for me to meet such a man of such greatness. how do i ever thank him for all he does for all our fur babies. There are a lot of good people in this world and most of them do not get the recognition they deserve. But perphas they choose to work behind the curtains and do their own thing. just doing what do is recognition enough. The man who is bringing (by car I think) volunteers for Pilots for Paws. May God Bless them all.

Clara, you make sure and get right back on this forum as soon as your new baby gets home (well, you love that pup up a bit first), and let us know how the homecoming went! Pics as soon as possible!
I'm getting goosebumps of excitement for you!! Rick

Bob, I agree about the "Pilots for Paws". I will give him the gratitude of everyone here. If the world would be like everyone here on this website and Pilots for Paws, what a wonderful world we would live in. Anyway, we just came in from a "dog food run". We realized we had a doggie bed, toys, bowls, but no food. So, off we went to the pet store. I am a little nervous (that is actually an understatement). I am wondering what will be going through this sweet pup's mind. She will have a new home again. Will she feel "dumped" again. I hope Floyd and I can settle her down and make her know that she has the "forever home" and soon those days on the street will not even be a memory. I promise pictures tomorrow!!!!!!

Bless those wonderful people who do so much for the love of animals! They are truly angels. I know you are nervous, but it will be fine. I'm so happy for you. Your precious little dog will be so grateful to have a loving forever home. I am sure she will love you and Floyd immediately. She may be a bit nervous herself for a while coming into a new home. Just give her your love and time to adjust and you will all be great. I can't wait to hear all about her and to see pictures! Congrats! Hope you get some sleep tonight.
