Hi everyone, my name is Kuggel and I am now 5 months old. My fur brothers are Silver now 11 and Mozart now 5.5. We are all going to the Montana regional Jail in Great Falls on Friday so I can start learning the Read to Me Dog ropes and Routines. Silveer says I will enjoy the attention and that the inmates will be good while I am inside because they want to take part in the program. Next week we will go and furlough a Beind Bars Puppy. That lucky dog will spend a weekend with us and get to go and do and see what we do. Mom says we will go for a walk along the River Edge trail in Great Falls because the puppy needs to see the sights.

Wish me luck on Friday. I know mom will be ther and so will Sil and Moz. I also know that the inmates loved Hershey.

I will write to all of you after I do my first time behind bars.

Hugs, Baby Kuggel and Mom meriam

I admire you so much in all that you do and all that you involve you family in. No wonder Hersh had a good life, and that is why he is still watching over all of you... What a great program you are involved in. How you have time to do all of that and still take care of all of your new babies that are still coming into this world, I marvel at you...

Keep us posted..

Hello Helen,

An update, my Kugs selected a murderer for his first inmate companion. Kugs snuggled in for a twenty minute session and his new buddy earned another 29 minutes with the baby next week.

Sil and Moz had their own companions and will keep up the therapy with two druggies.

I am just going to pop some popcorn and watch TV.

Hope all is well at your house.

Good job kugle,Moz, and silv-Mommy too-you are doing an important job.
Question-is it common to have murderers in the
program?  If it is-do they have life sentences?
what would you say is the most common type of
criminal aided in this program?

thinking of you-

I just found your thread here, Meri, as I was navigating through this site.  I don't usually look at this part of the site, so I was surprised to see some wonderful threads.  I just love the story of Kuggel and the murderer!   I am amazed by all the work you do!
