Last time I was here was back in 2010-2012 when I lovst two dogs really close together, Taterbug and Coco.  Since that time I also lost my little silky-tzu Lexi and my little Maltese Larry.  Larry went home the Thursday before Christmas.  Lexi was 15 and had spinal issues and lost the use of her legs, bladder and was in pain.  Larry had cancer that I thought was a sinus infection because of the snotty breathing he had.  Turned out it was a tumor in his throat and he could not breathe.  They were absolutely beautiful little "kids" to me.  I lost my oldest son in 2016 and my wife of 35 years in 2017.  So those two were like my own children.  I cried like a big, blubbering baby with no shame.  I pray that I will see them, and all of my beloved dog;s when I get to Heaven.  I think of them every single day and did have guilty feelings because I had to have them both euthanized.  Even though I knew they were suffering and it would not get better, it still killed my heart.  So, to those gentle little souls, I just want to say, "Daddy loves you more than you would ever know and will remember you forever"....

I'm very sorry you lost your "gentle souls".  It's a very big loss in our life that some people don't understand like we do here.  The passing of time lessens the pain but until then take care of yourself and pass through the grief knowing you gave a lot of love to some very lucky furry companions.

Dearest EJones,
I am so very sorry for the many loses in your life. To lose just one is beyond devastating but to lose so many in such a short time. You are so very strong and yet you have a huge heart. it sounds as if you loved them deeply. We that love beyond reasoning is so very hard for others to understand. Like you I came here way back in 2000 and then again in 2017. In 2017 I love my heart dog, Termy. I never thought I would go on living without him. If's funny how just living one day at a time changes things. I never thought I would ever adopt another who could help heal my heart, but with the guidance of Termy, I have another fur kid to love.He will never fill the paws that Termy left behind but he sue is coming close. Thee is no shame in crying like a baby, no matter your age or sex. It just plan tears your heart out. I hope that with each day that passes you will be able to heal a little each day. Remember the journeys that your share with Taterbug, Coco, Lexi and Larry. My heart goes out to you. Sending you the best and my compassion to.
Love and doggie hugs
