Hi Destkk sorry for your loss, I loss my Guy on Monday laying beside me. He was only 10. What a shock. I think trying to keep busy does help. The problem is that most people can't understand this type of pain. We are not pet owners. They are part of our family Try to find what works for you. they really are people on here who are very compassionate.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  It's been 4 weeks to the day for me since I lost my little guy suddenly at 8 almost 9 years old.  I still think about him daily and cry daily but am doing a better.  Keep coming back to this site. It does help and everyone is supportive. I also got a memorial necklace for my guy that I wear every day.

yes, me too. the past few days when am back from work I start to remember all the past where rocky was standing there waiting and barking for me as he heard I'm opening the door. the look of him is so happy and it also make me feel happy to see him. but now is so different else he is gone and what I see is all empty. all of him is no longer there but just his bed, blanket and also his dog chain that is always make him so excited whenever he heard that chain sound as he know we going out etc. Till now still feel the quilt for making that choice to let him go. from day 1 till now kept cry to sleep.....really feel loss and don't know what to do.

I'm sorry for your loss, Destkk.  My dog died yesterday and while it was expected (he had cancer), the final illness was sudden (he went from being his usual okay to me having to make the euthanasia decision in less than 24 hours) and I'm still reeling.  My grief is reawakened by things like pulling the car into the driveway and realizing there will be no one waiting for me by the front door; hearing dogs barking outside and realizing Laddie isn't here to bark in response; and just the absence of his presence.  He liked to be near me all the time and so I was never alone.

Darn, I know it's good that we can love something besides ourselves, but it hurts so much, doesn't it?
