Jan 26 I my 13 year-old German Shep mix Girl dog Shadow passed away. Yesterday I had to have her companion, my 15 y/o Greyhound Rufus put to sleep. My house is so quiet tonight. They’ve been a part of my life for so long I don’t know what to do now. I was lucky to have such wonderful doggies but this is horrible. I thought my girl would live a couple more years and the boy dog would go first. I never imagined losing them both within two months of each other. Now it’s just me and the kitty cat.

Hello WH...
Feeling your sadness this day and understand your grief completely. Two lovely breeds and such loyalty you had for years. Been two months since my own grief of losing my chihuahua of 16y. Yes, the pain is very real and intense. If love alone could have kept your beloveds, they would have lived forever. I feel your despair. Warmest of wishes,                     Sherry/Perryx

Thank you. I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t know why doggies don’t live longer.
