When I saw Thor's picture, I felt instantly drawn to him. I officially adopted him on 9/30 of this year. Things were going great and he became my little mommy's boy. All the other pets I have instantly fell in love with him, and he was so so smart.

This Saturday we took him to the vet to get him dewormed since he was due for it. Later that day things started to go downhill for him healthwise. You could tell he was in pain. We tried to do everything we could to save him but in the end, he crossed the rainbow bridge. We believe he was given a higher dose of pyrantel than he should of gotten.

My heart is in a million pieces right now. I just want to cuddle with him like we used to do. I have no idea how to heal from this experience. And the guilt is crushing me too, even though deep down I know nothing I did caused it. I keep thinking, what if I just hadn't taken him to the vet? Would he still be with me now?

I am completely lost

How horrible...I am so sorry. Please get advise from holistic veterinarians about deworming. The poison regular vets inject into kittens and puppies could send an adult human into acute kidney failure. I learned the truth long time ago. Only used natural remedies for my kitty.
You meant well. Vets f**ked up :( They do most of the time !
Wishing you peace.

Thank you Pawprince. That means a lot.

Angel_Dawn, we will for sure be going to a holistic vet after this experience. Thank you for the well wishes.
