I lost my dog Mac on 11/29. I had to put him down because he had cancer and his kidneys failed. He was so fragile when I took him in to the vet. I think I waited to long. I remember him looking at me and it looked like he wanted me to help. I feel so guilty for not doing more for him. I hope he can forgive me for not reacting faster. I hope he didn't suffer for a long time. I noticed he was not himself lately but had no idea how bad it was. The vet did not want to do anything. I feel so heartbroken without him. I wished I could do more. I keep crying and I miss him more than anything. He really didn't live that long he was only ten years old. I thought I had more time. I miss him sleeping next to me I miss everything about him. He was the best dog I ever had. I love him and I hope he's not in pain or suffering anymore. I feel so stupid for not realizing he was dying.

Dear Macsmommy

So sorry for the loss of your precious Mac. We typically second guess ourselves after such a loss. You loved him and did the best you could with the information you had.

It’s heartbreaking to lose one so close to you and the grieving process is like a rollercoaster. You are still raw and fragile... please be gentle with yourself and take it one day at a time.

I wish you peace to help heal your broken heart.
