I know Memorial day was observed in grand style.

Flags were waving everywhere.

Aurich and all the other babies who have a parent serving in the service proudly marched at the front of the line.

Behind them were the Service Dogs marching with heads held high. They knew how important they were to all they had served.

Behind them was a special group-the dogs and cats of 9-11.

Then there was a hush as the Rescuer dogs of 9-ll

proudly marched by.

We can all take great pride in those service dogs  who helped to rescue so many lives in disasters just as they are honored at the bridge.

Those dogs who served their masters in times of war and those who serve each day as helpers to those with disabilities are a rare breed to be honored.

So many service dogs who help law enforcement are just one more example of love and loyalty.

I know our babies at Rainbow Bridge took with them the pride we all have in being free and that they are all very proud of their family members who stand for freedom for all in this world.

My Aurich loved his Air Force Dad very much and saw him through some very tough times over the years.

I know he beams with pride every day for his Daddy and all who serve so everyone can be free one day.

May the pride they feel inspire us all to show our pride as well.

May the coming celebrations of our nations freedom be a time of reflection and prayer for all man kind to know the same wonderful freedom we have here in the USA.

Let us all pray for peace through out the world so that no one ever has to suffer the pain of war again.

Love and Peace,

Carol, and Kathy,

What an absolutely beautiful tribute to the fur heroes of 9-11. I had no idea there were so many. You have done them proud!

Much Love,

The families of the soldiers

all they sacrifice.

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American where as least I know Im free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there's pride in every American heart,
and it's time to stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.
