I am just learning how to post and make slideshows on Photobucket.  I made this little slideshow this morning in honor of my little girl, Betsy.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY SWEET BETSY.  IF YOU SEE UNCLE TOMMY GIVE HIM A KISS FOR ME!!

Oh Melissa!

I will say it again: what a precious and sweet girl Betsy is!  I loved the slide show!  It made Betsy come to life for me more than ever! I think one of my favorite photos was of Betsy on the chair saying "WooWooWoo!" ~ I could just hear her!  Thank you for sharing this.  It put a smile on my face and I needed that today because I am feeling overwhelmed with sadness and missing Max - I planted a garden today in a special place where he always used to sit...and it made me very lonely for my little guy.  But seeing Betsy's slide show helped ~ I know that Max is surrounded by such wonderful little souls like your sweet girl.

Hugs,

Melissa,

I clicked on your link and all I can get is Photobucket's main page - I'm not a user :(, so I can't see your slideshow of Betsy......and I do so want to see more pics of your sweet little girl!!  Is there something else I should be doing to access the slideshow?

Not sure why it turned it off, but it did.  You can still click on it and it will take you to main page.  There is a search space where you type in mfergusonmd and it will ask if you want to see my album.  Click yes and it will bring up a page that shows many photos.   The most complete slide show is the one at the top left labeled slide show, so click on that and it should show.

I will also try to post the link again:

http://s295.photobucket.com/albums/mm148/mfergusonmd/?action=view¤t=3a3cfffb.pbw

Hope one of these works.

Thanks so much Joanne.  I know how much your miss your precious boy, Max.  I am so happy you have a little garden for him.   Remember I told you I was going to buy a plant to pot in Betsy's memory?   Well, I found (or she directed me to) the Esperanza (Hope) plant also called Texas Yellow bells.  It is just gorgeous.   We had one at our old house and she loved to lean against the pot in the shade of it.  It is PERFECT for her.   And sunny just like she was!!!

Hugs to you both,
Melissa

Melissa,

Your directions worked...THANK YOU, your Betsy Girl is simply Adorable!  All of the pictures were wonderful, and I'm so glad you included one of her yodeling.  Tears started welling up, hard not to, as your love for her and how much you miss her shows in all of your posts, and in this slideshow.  Thank you for sharing your little Betsy Noodle, she's a little doll.

Oh Melissa,

Thankyou so much for sharing that with us. I was crying so much when watching it and she is just so beautiful and she looks SO happy in all the pictures. She looks so loved! Wow, I can see her spirit in all the photos, she was quite the girl wasn't she? I can see why your heart aches for her!

What a lovely tribute to Betsy. She misses you so much Melissa. I am glad she is Nugget's friend now.

A big cuddle.

Diana, Alana, and Katherine: I am so glad you got to see my little doggie daughter's slideshow.  I plan to get even better at doing these things in the future, but until then, this is the one I am sending out to all my friends who love and miss Betsy.  Thanks so much for your support!!  Those little slideshows are fun and pretty easy to make, so if I can do one, you all can, too, if you like!

Hugs to all,
Melissa

Dearest Melissa:
Once again I am in tears.  Your slide show of Betsy is wonderful.  These Precious Babies steal our hearts and it is so hard to continue our lives without them in our arms.  I would give anything to hold Christopher one more time and tell him I Love him.  This has been another difficult week for me for some reason.  I have come to the site to answer posts and have not been able to respond.  It is just overwhelming how the loss of our beautiful babies affects our lives in so many ways.  I will miss Christopher Forever and I know you will miss Betsy Forever as well.  You and Betsy are in my Prayers.

Big Hugs

I loved your slide show of Betsy. What a precious girl. She does remind us of our precious Bennie. I cried when I saw it.

Thank you for sharing it with us and thank you for your kind words.

Melissa,

Such a wonderful girl. Thanks for sharing this photo montage. Betsy is the cutest thing ever! I love the pics of her and her "baby". Molly used to walk around with hers, too.

I'm sorry you're in a place where you're missing her so much again. Oftentimes I find myself in that same place. Yesterday I was out back in my yard, and I could have sworn I saw my girl... I only wish it were true. I know that we (all) were blessed to have known these little creatures who filled our hearts with love, our souls with friendship and our lives with laughter, but the loss at times is so very difficult. Please know that I'm thinking of you and Betsy and will listen for her "woowoowoo!" in the night stillness!

Big hugs to you,

Dear Melissa –

Your Betsy Noodle is grand! Thank you so much for sharing all of these fabulous pictures of her (and you other fur children as well.) I can see why you fell so head over heels in love with Betsy – she’s simply so sweet. Seeing her pictures gave my heart a much needed lift. Today marks 100 days since my Rusty left me and I’m more sad than usual. And as you know, this hasn’t been the best of times for me. So THANK YOU again for taking the time to post these pictures. Betsy is simply a delight and so cherished, as are you.

Many hugs!

Rusty’s Mom – Allison.

Heidi--You can go to Photobucket main page and type mfergusonmd into the search area, and then it will ask you if you want to see my albums.  Click yes, and you will see a bunch of photos come up....Betsy's slideshow (most recent) is in the very top LEFT.  Hope you can find them.  Thank you for all your sweet support!

Georgeann--I am so beside myself with JOY today.  Last night I found even more photos of my little girl.   I have one of her surrounded by all her "babies" that I will eventually add to Photobucket, but I may have one of the wolves do a memorial page for me.  Your memorial pages for Christopher are so wonderful and put together with so much love.  What a gorgeous little man he is!   Thank you for being here for me.   You are one special lady!

BenniesMom--How are you?  Yes, our babies remind me so much of each other, especially their coloring.  I know my little girl was also probably a little "street dog" as I got her from the SPCA.  I LOVED your story of Bennie with the empty peanut bag.  I can just picture him!!!   Oh, what a sweetheart he is in that photo of him that you posted.  Do you have more photos?

Robyn--Yes, these sad moments hit sometimes out of nowhere, don't they?  My husband just showed me a little dog on Martha Stewart's show that looked almost exactly like Betsy.  Oh, did that make me smile.  Oh, if we could only see our beloveds just one more time.   Yes, I think I do remember seeing photos of Molly with her "babies".   Betsy was very maternal and she would sometimes line them up in her bed like they were her puppies.   Thanks for viewing her little slideshow.  It was so good to hear from you!

Nancee--Yes, she was my doll baby!   My husband just called me into the den to show me a dog on Martha Stewart's show (yes, he was watching Martha).  She looked EXACTLY like my Betsy girl!   Oh, how I miss her.  Thank you so much for your support and kindness.

Allison--It was so very kind of you to post a reply.  You have always been so supportive of me.  But, you are suffering so much right now, and I wish I could do more for you.   Just know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I will be here for you.  I am happy that watching the slideshow lifted your spirits a little bit.   One day you will feel strong enough to look at all of Rusty's photos as well.   May God rest the soul of your beloved Mother.  Take care, my friend.

Pami--Since I never had children, my Betsy was my little doggie daughter, and what a pure bundle of joy she was.  Pami, I am just still so very happy you are getting your beloved Onyx's ashes back.  I prayed so hard for you, and I have never been particularly great at remembering to say prayers.  But, your story touched my heart.  Thank you so much for posting!

Mary Anne--Oh, yes, Betsy loved to sample birthday cake.  She inherited that trait from me, her mom!!   She was always game to wear at hat if she knew she would get a taste!!   She was simply my joy, as you can tell.  Thanks so much for you sweet reply.  By, the way, I think that is my favorite picture of her, also, along with the one of her on the couch, at age three.

Thanks everyone for coming to meet my girl.

Hugs,
Melissa

Dear Melissa, thank you for sharing your pictures of darling Betsy. She is certainly a beautiful little girl such a shiny silky coat. I can almost hear her WOO-WOO-WOO! She looks like such a gentle little lady and I know how much you miss her. The pain is so strong when we lose our beloveds, why do we have to love them so much? I guess we must just think of all the joy they gave to us and be grateful we were lucky enough to have them at all. You are in my thoughts. Donna, Mr. Meowgy's mom

Melissa,
How precious your sweet Betsy Noodle is! I too especially liked the one of her yodeling. Isn't it wonderful when we find more little evidences of them! I have sporadically found more pictures of Missy Molly and I treasure each find. Most of them are digital and already on the computer but I've found some hard copies and have put them in a little album so I won't misplace them again.
I know how much you miss your sweet Betsy.

Melissa, each and every one of your photos of darling Betsy brought a smile to my face.   She must have brought so much joy and laughter into your lives, and I know how deeply you miss her.  She is undoubtedly a very popular girl at the Rainbow Bridge.....with a face like that, how could she not be!   Hugs to you,   Jan

Melissa,

Your Betsy brings tears to my eyes.  She is such a precious and special baby.  You can just see the love shining in her eyes.  I too particularly loved the one of her yodeling!  I know how difficult this journey has been for you.  It is so hard to give them up.  Hugs, Golda's Mom

Dear Melissa,
While it took a bit of maneuvering, I did finally view your slide show...I must say that I could just see and feel the love you and yours felt for Betsy!  She illuminates 'love' and I bet she meant the world to you all (I am not on PL all that much anymore so I don't know your 'tale').  Thank you for posting such beautiful photos and letting us have a peak into the love you all shared.  I hope Betsy has met my Snuggy and they are, if nothing else, tolerant of each other (ha-ha).
Hugs and inner peace,

Oh Carol,

This is one of my favorite pictures of Betsy!

THANK YOU!  You are so kind.  I always imagined her surrounded by pink colors as she was such a feminine little thing.  The picture is perfect.

I am crying, but these are happy tears.  Tears of gratitude.  What a lovely Bridge picture of my little girl.

I dreamed of her last night.  She was running through green fields and was full of energy, just like she was when she was a pup.

Seeing this picture this morning has just made my day.

You are so special.  You have your own worries and still reach out to help others.  You are an angel.

Sending hugs as big as Texas,
Melissa

Melissa,
What a neat picture Carol did of your Betsy. You are so right, she is pretty in pink!
I am so glad to hear that you had a good dream of sweet Betsy Noodle. It makes all the difference in the way we think of them knowing that they're happy and well at the Bridge.
Molly says WAY TO GO BETSY!!! CONTINUE TO LET YOUR MOM KNOW YOU'RE DOING WELL HERE AT THE BRIDGE.

Dear Joanne--Thank you for your sweet post. The picture of Betsy yodeling is one of my favorites, as well.  It really captured her essence, as did the one of her when she was three and posed "pretty" for me on the sofa.  I know you miss your beloved Max so much.  These babies steal our hearts, don't they?  And, when they leave us, how we hurt!

Dear Donna--Yes, Betsy was very gentle and so loving, but she also had a wonderful feisty terrier spirit that my husband and I just adored!  Oh, how we miss her little yodel and tapdancing!  I am just so blessed to have had a dream visit from her last night.  I hope Mr. Meowgy is sending you signs to let you know he is running the beautiful fields of the Bridge.

Dear L, MollyBoltsMom--Yes, I was so lucky to find even more photos the other day.  I will have to scan them as they were taking before I bought my digital camera.  I know how much you miss your sweet Molly.  But, I also know your Miss Molly and my Betsy are busy baking almost every day at the Bridge.  Did you ever read my thread about Help me Honor Little Arthur?  He was a beautiful miniature schnauzer who was horribly neglected by his owner.  He passed at the age of two.  I hear he is just SMITTEN with Molly.

Dear Donna (Mykittygirl) --Thank you for your sweet post.  Yes, I just adored my little girl.  She was my sunshine as I am sure your beloved little kitty was yours.  I miss her every single day, but I am so happy I have photos of her.  I just love what Carol did with her picture!!

Dear Joann (Sammy Sus' mom)--I know what you mean when you say something triggers a memory and sadness sets in.  I was missing her so badly last night.  My husband and I were talking about her at dinner.  But, lo and behold, I had a wonderful dream visit from her last night where she was running happily through a large green field.  It was such a gift. I hope Sammy Sus comes to you in a dream soon.  I will say a little prayer that she does. By the way, I have always wondered how you came up with Sammy Sus' name.  It is so beautiful.

Dear Jan--Thank you so much for posting.  You have always been so very kind and supportive for me.  Betsy was very popular with all my family and friends, as well.  When she passed, I got so many condolence cards and emails.  Everyone honored her life and shared their "Betsy" stories.  This helped me tremendously.

Dear Jerry and Gwen--Thank you dear friends for posting. I know you are still grieving deeply for your sweet darling little Peaches.  I love reading your posts about her.  They honor her and are so very loving.  You certainly are helping people on this board, even when you are suffering.  Peaches is guiding you from the Bridge!!

Dear Di--Thank you for all your support.  I know you are still mourning your precious Basil, yet you still reach out to help others.  You are so kind.  Yes, my Betsy was a heart-stealer and such a little lady.  I miss her more than words can convey.

Dear Golda's Mom--Losing Betsy was a defining moment in my life.  I still can't believe she is really gone after having her loving presence in my life for almost sixteen years.  I know how difficult it has been for you as well.  Golda was simply beautiful and is still shining in all his radiance at the Bridge.  Oh, how we miss them, though.  Thank you for your thoughtful and caring post.

Dear Christine--Oh, your Snuggy looks so much like my kitty "Gray" that I had when I was young!  I have to tell you that Betsy and Snuggy are probably hanging out a LOT at the Bridge because she LOVED kitties and always won them over.  She once "adopted" my Mom's kitten and treated it as if it were her puppy.  She was pure LOVE and gentleness with other furbabies....except for rats, mice, and squirrels.  Oh, my goodness, was she the huntress!!!!  She once caught a HUGE rat that had fled a neighbor's garage (as they were tearing it down) and brought it INTO MY HOUSE and laid it at my feet.  I screamed so loud my husband thought we had an intruder.  Well, sort of.....:-)

Dear Carol--THANK YOU again, and again.  I couldn't have picked a more perfect picture of Betsy to have transformed into a Bridge portrait.  You are an angel.  You are always in my prayers, as are Hayley and Bari and your daughter.  I know you all are still mourning the passing of your beloved Vicki.  I know how important therapy dogs are, so I hope your family is able to find another precious pup for the girls. Of course, Vicki can NEVER be replaced, but she may have a paw in choosing the next baby who enters their lives.

Dear Molly's Mom--Oh, I was so thrilled to get my dream visit!  And, then to see that Carol had done a Bridge portrait (they are so much more than mere "pictures" it seems to me) just was the icing on a beautiful cake.  Pretty in Pink describes her perfectly.   Thank you, dear friend.

To all:  Like Molly's Mom so beautifully said:  Let us all find some peaceful moments in memory of our beloved babies today.

Love, hugs, and peace,

Melissa

My Dear Melissa,

You are such a sweet and special person, you too are always helping others here, but then, I know that it makes me feel good to try to console people, as I was consoled.  I hope to meet your precious Betsy some day.
I just know that my guys have already fallen in love with her, she is so cute.  Love and healing to you....Di xxx
