Mocha went to Rainbow bridge last Saturday.  She had been stable for several days but last Wednesday I noticed she was acting different.  Her appetite decreased, she was less mobile, and she wasn't interacting with us as much - the three things we had decided needed to happen for us to know it was time to put her to sleep.  On the Saturday we put her to sleep, she gave me that look that she had had enough.  When we took her to the vet she said that Mocha's body was full of cancer and we were doing the best thing for her.  It was the first time I was in the room when they put one of my babies to sleep.  I found that although it was very difficult it wasn't as traumatic as I thought it would be.  The vet was very gentle and I left feeling that I did everything I could for little Mocha right down to the end. I love and miss her very much :(  Our house is very lonely now but I'm comforted in knowing that she went to join her sister/niece Lucy at Rainbow Bridge.  Lucy left us quite suddenly last month due to kidney failure, she was 13.  I really miss my girls.  Thank you everyone for your prayers, as I believe they allowed Mocha to be stable long enough for me to be able to let her go and for me to become strong enough to help her.

I will pray that you continue to have the strength to get though this this loss too.  It's so hard.  you did a good thing for Mocha.  She is pain free, she is running around like cray and having a grand old time.
