I had to put down my cat yesterday because he got attacked by the neighbor's dog and the vet told me to just put him down and stop being selfish. The cost didnt matter to me was prepared to pay for the reat od my life for his opperation. It was so sudden, he was bugging me to let him out, he did his cute little gesture where he just bearly touches you. He was the sweetest most kind cat that you could ever meet. He was my everything, when i would go to school and no matter how hard my day was the moment i would see him my day would become instantly better. He was with me through it all, since i was 6 till now just before my 21 birthday. All my hardships through life he was the only constant. The only thing that stayed no matter what and he aint here anymore. I really feel like my world just feel apart. Everywhere i go in the house i remember all the quriks he had and would do.

Cats are great. I have raised two and lost them both. The trauma was real.

I am very sorry for your loss. Having him in your life between age 6 through 21 is a lifetime.

You must be devastated.

Aww I'm so sorry you lost you friend that way. I'm much older than you but remember losing our family pet.

Now I just lost the first cat I was entirely responsible for, and the first per since our family dog, and the pain is just as much.

It sounds like you two were meant to be on your journeys together...but the bodies will all eventually go in one way or another. So painful to think that we will never get to experience their love like that again. But they actually live in our hearts.
