I am so lost right now. I lost my best hunting dog Aisley on January 3rd, her kidneys were shutting made the hard decision to put her down....makes me sick just thinking about grandmother was over 90 and died a month ago, but it never hit me like this. The day I took her to the vet, she was so excited just to ride in the truck with me...I truly thought that we would get her some medicine and get her feeling better....the vet gave me the news that her liver counts were spiked and there was nothing they were going to be able to do for still hurts and can't believe she is really gone...i have a half sister to Aisley, her name is Vera and I feel like I need to be giving her all attention but my heart is still heavy for Aisley
If my buddies could see me now I don't think they would believe im grieving like this....i miss her loyalty, work ethic, her protection, and her silliness....she was only 7 and wish i could have had more time with her, and been able to do some thing for her....

I went through kidney failure with the dog before the dog I just put to sleep a month ago. She was only 10 and was otherwise healthy so I tried the kidney flush. Brought her home and the vet said that if she would eat, she would be okay for a while longer.

She stopped eating two days after I brought her home. I pulled her into bed with me that night and hugged her and kissed her head off and on all night. She took her last ride in her pickup truck the next morning to the vet. She would have starved herself to death if I had not.
