Yesterday the vet phone and said we can pick Cheeky's ashes up. My husband went to pick it up and when I go home there the little box was. At first I was shock and thought how on earth is that possible for my little fatty to be in that little box. Inside was a name plate with her name on and a card with a little poem on that made me cry from the vet to say how sorry they were for our loss. Covered in tissue paper (I could not open it but my husband told me) was her ashes and dried flower petals.

It is strange but for the first time last night I felt a sense of inner peace. I felt like my little girl was home. It's been 11 days today and I still miss her and at times I start crying uncontrollably. Some days' are good and others I don't even want to get out of bed.

As soon as we're ready we are going to take her ashes to the beach and scatter them there, because she was happy there and loved to run along the sand.

Miss you always and forever my Cheeky.

Always in my heart

I am sorry for your loss but I can picture your girl Cheeky running on the beach and some day you will be running with her again.
