Yesterday my beloved pet budgie of almost 5 years passed away. I'm still in shock. My husband myself and my four month old daughter were away for the weekend so on Friday we had given him and our cat extra food and left. I had no indication he was unwell. On Sunday we came home and I went go say hi to bandit and I found him on the bottom of his cage. I am so sad he was a beloved pet, and yet have not received alot if outside support because he was seen as "just a bird" and this is false.he was a beloved member of our family. He loved playing with his toy bells and sitting on top of his cage. He also lived sitting on your shoulder and eating honey mullet. I am so sad I can't walk past our den where his cage was. Without bursting into tears. Same with my husband ☹️☹️we know he's at peace now but I keep wishing her come back 😢😢

Hello Sunny>
Yes, Bandit deserves recognition as a family member. He, 5 years, that is 1825 days of living and breathing. The wee thing, on your shoulder, Life was great. I donot know the span of a budgie, perhaps that breed of bird does not display health issues, how were you to know. Perhaps his wee heart just arrested and Peace. All in all he  did exist and is NOW recognized. He touched your Soul--Forever. My wee chihuahua/16y, lived to be just shy of 5840 days and like Bandit, counts for a long life. We all want more of each others time and Bandit is included in that. May you find Peace. Mourning is no easy task, it is a day-t-day situ.  God Bless,    SherryXXPerryXX
