I had to take my hubbie to the ER this morning.  He has diverticulitis.  He was in tremendous pain.  They gave him a pain shot and he had a very bad reaction to it.

He started shaking all over and was almost like a convulsion.  I honestly thought I was going to loose him.  He was very "out of it" and "loopy" for several hours.  I thought he had a stroke, but they told me it was from all the meds they gave him.

Because of his COPD and emphysemia, he is a poor candidate for surgery and we are praying the antibotics will do the trick.

Anyway, he will be in hospital at least through the week end.  Anytime he was in the hospital before, I always had Bonnie here to keep me company and now she is not here to keep me company and keep me safe.

Keep hubbie in your prayers tonight.

Thanks, Clara

I will be thinking of you Clara and Floyd.  I hope the antibiotics do the trick for him and you have him back with you at home soon!

Bonnie is watching over him.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.  He will be okay.  He was strong enough to pull through Bonnie's passing, so you know he is strong enough to whip this.

I am sorry your husband is not feeling well!  I hope he has a very quick recovery and is back home to keep you company.  A home can be too quiet!!

Clara, have faith.  He will be ok.  I've been through that a number of times too and have opted not to have surgery, but I do keep an emergency antibiotic with me always so I can get on it immediately if it starts at night, or on a weekend, or when I travel.  Your right, the pain is terrible and the most important thing is to get on those antibiotics immediately.  Take care of you and take care of him.  Bonnie is watching over both of you.
Prayers,
Sandie
